MoMA Teens

Art Classes

promotional material

I met a man named Chuck at a warehouse in

Brooklyn to photograph his vintage tools. He

was nice and did not put me in a van. My concept

for this fall flier/poster revolved around "making"

with tools. Since this is a teen show, some of the

tools are a play on the concept of tools. I was

reading Alice in Wonderland at the time and so

a bottle marked "drink me" is an option.

This motion piece looped on a large screen during

the MoMA Teens Fall Art show opening.

During my process of creating promotional print

materials for MoMA Teens, I was exposed to process

photos of the classes. Immediately I longed to

create a motion piece to house the photos which

demonstrated the free-spirited art making—and

outrageous fun—as encouraged by the classes.
